Interior renewal of the Reformed Church in Alsózsolca
The renovation of the late-18th-century Reformed Church focused on preserving its historical character while adapting the interior to contemporary needs. The design aimed to restore the original spatial proportions and atmosphere, accompanied by the renewal of functional elements such as pews, lighting, and flooring.
Every intervention was guided by restraint and respect for the existing structure. The new additions are modest in form, harmonising in material and colour with the heritage context. Subtle lighting highlights the architectural character of the space without dominating it.
The renewed interior now once again provides a dignified and serene setting for the congregation, uniting the values of the past with the demands of the present.
